Residents Near Bin Laden's Hideout Did Not Know.

It is my feeling that the locals would not dare to get 'nosy'. Just better to stay away and mind your own business.


It was believed that Bin Laden was under constant medical attention. So the doctor had to be another trusted person, going to and fro for Bin Laden's treatment and medications.

With $25 million bounty, it sure does point to either fear or not being aware of the bounty.

My take on this is that the US knew about it as well,  
but thought that to allow Bin Laden to continue to operate secluded with only a trickle of instructions to go out via runners which gave the watchers the opportunity to follow where the couriers  connected, and monitor those centers electronically and gleaning useful data. Even in the event of increased traffic and not able to discern immediately what is happening, this would be a warning that something was up and then able to pinpoint a location. Those during this ongoing surveillance at the centers would surreptitiously be identified and watched for their connections. All this time Bin Laden thinking he is secure. Just a Thought.

Sen. Levin Does Not Believe "Water Boarding" Was Used to Get Bin Laden.

This Senator from Detroit, Mich. the "armpit" of the nation (shows how well he takes care of his people) and then heads the Armed Forces Committee; it is a miracle that our military is the best that ever has been fielded.
A more reliable source comes from Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), that stats that "water boarding" was used. Refer to excerpts from the CNS report.

While appearing on ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ on Fox News yesterday, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) confirmed those reports saying, “ We obtained that information through waterboarding.”

King then elaborated, “It came from an overseas prison where Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was being interrogated and waterboarding was used and it was during the interrogation of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed through waterboarding that this information was learned.”
