Small Business, Major U.S. Employer, A Dour Forecast Is Record Low Hiring.

  • Would Obamacare be a major factor?
  • With more taxes and regulations forthcoming, why put up with it? Close the shop.
An excerpt from the news report,
Last month, 21% of small business owners said they expected to lower head count over the next six months — the highest percentage recorded by the Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index since its launch in 2003. In July, the last time the data was compiled, just 10% of bosses said they planned to shrink employee ranks.
  • Hope and Change. There is no hope: change is what we have already have had for 4 years.

Detroit Mayor Dodges Bankruptcy by Laying Off City Workers.

  • Is this the Hope and Change Episode II?
  • Much of the city is being torn down and turned into farmland.
  • There is no more money, and no one will loan it to a city that has underperformed for the last 40 years.
  • If the state takes over, there will be more layoffs.
  • How does the city pay for its utilities, such as heating oil, electricity and water?
  • Utilities are private  companies, if not paid they do not supply.
  • The thousands more out of work will not be able to pay as well.
  • Winter is coming on, and heating oil is not cheap.
