Death Row Child Killer Hangs Himself. Cruelest; Imprisionment or Execution?

• More than 700 awaiting execution.
• Californians voted for execution in 1978, but the courts and lawyers find ways to prolong the sentence.
• The prison cell should be spartan, have only the basic needs, no TV, etc.
• Issue to each cell a rope, making the sentence optional, seeing as how the courts feel that confinement is not cruel punishment.
