A New Year Begins

THE YEAR'S AT THE SPRING

    The year's at the spring
    And the day's at the morn;
    Morning's seven;
    The hillside's dew-pearled;
    The lark's on the wing;
    The snail's on the thorn:
    God's in his heaven-
    All's right with the world!

Computer Age

Can we blame the moral decline on this technology?
Technology increased and morality decreased.

The Longest Night

          Winter Nights

Now the winter nights enlarge
  The number of their hours,
And clouds their storms discharge
  Upon the airy towers.
Let now the chimneys blaze,
  And cups o'erflow with wine,
Let well-tuned words amaze
  With harmony divine.
Now yellow waxen lights
  Shall wait on honey Love,
        While youthful revels, masks, and courtly sights
  Sleep's leaden spells remove.
This time doth well dispense
  With lovers' long discourse.
Much speech hath some defence
  Though beauty no remorse.
All do not all things well:

  Some measures comely tread,
Some knotted riddles tell,
  Some poems smoothly read.
The Summer hath his joys,
  And Winter his delights.
        Though Love and all his pleasures are but toys,
  They shorten tedious nights.

Sunday Prayer

God's Strength and Protection

O God, who knowest us to be set
in the midst of so many and great dangers,
that by reason of the frailty of our nature
we cannot always stand upright:
grant to us such strength and protection,
as may support us in all dangers,
and carry us through all temptations;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Book of Common Prayer; 1662

Good or Bad Muslims in USA?

What's the test?
Hopefully all Muslims do not want to murder us.
"Politically Correct", America's greatest weakness.

Football Concussions

Play without helmets,  there would be no more headbutting.
There would be no more injuries, and sanity is back in the game.
