Mosquitoes, a Losing Battle This Season.

From the article,
We had no winter in the Northeast this year, and so there's a lot of predictions from mosquito control experts that we're going to have a really huge season of high populations of mosquitoes, and so with that, more disease transmission," said Leslie Vosshall, who runs Rockefeller University's Laboratory of Neurogenetics and Behavior in New York City. Along with her staff, she's trying to find out exactly how mosquitoes hunt humans.
  • A DDT spray outside in the patio area, what harm will that do? Yeah, like the late Rachel Carson and her frogs with no feet, and so on with some unproven environmental worries.
  • January 20, 2013, close down the EPA.
  •  Mosquitoes kill. Malaria is prevalent in much of the world.
  • Here in Southern California, we have a scant population, but in areas like Minnesota, with it's many lakes and ponds, it can be unbearable at times.
  • Why not some innovative philanthropist come up with a prize for anyone who can breed a million or so of the critters sterile?
  • Get rid of them forever.
  • Just a thought.
